Description
This round topped tree produces masses of purple-mauve foxglove-type flowers in late spring.
The seeds sprout easily when left on the surface of moist, warm compost. They require light to stimulate germination.
‘Stratifying’ the seeds by keeping them in the fridge for two weeks will speed up the germination process once they are sown.
They can take a few days to one month to germinate.
Sow at around 20C, on the surface of well drained compost/soil.
Fully hardy to -15°C
