Description
Ensete glaucum is a banana relative, not unlike the Abyssinian variety.
It is a giant variety native to China, Nepal, Burma, Papa New Guinea among other parts of Asia.
The leaves are huge, growing up to three meters long.
A good supply of water and fertilizer is necessary as this is a very fast grower.
The seeds require a temperature of around 25°C to germinate and may benefit from being kept in a heated propagator.
The first signs of germination should occur after 3-4 weeks, with some seeds taking a lot longer to sprout.
