Description
This very large Agave is native to Mexico and can reach up to four metres in diameter
Cultivated worldwide as an ornamental plant, it will tolerate drought and moderate freezes
It is often called ‘American aloe’ although it is from the Agave family
The plant grows a large rosette of powdery blue-green leaves with thorny margins and heavy spike at the tip
Germination of seeds is straightforward and should take 2-4 weeks
